In just a few short years, we’ve completely transformed our reality, and Shehan has been able to leave his corporate career of 13 years. In Shehan’s words,

Living life on my own terms has brought unexpected delights, especially the joy of unrushed mornings. Crafting my schedule means I wake up energized and in control, free from anxiety. Since leaving my job, I’ve embraced a fulfilling morning routine: sharing breakfast with my son, enjoying coffee while managing emails, and taking a long, refreshing walk with my dog, Hudson.
After that I cook for Lisa, light a fire, and prepare for meetings and site visits, all while aligning my work with Lisa’s schedule. This quality time has deepened our relationship as we build our business and future together. Most days, I finish work by 3 p.m., transitioning into my role as a taxi for my son, shuttling him to school and activities.
Cooking is a passion, and I feel blessed to prepare fresh meals for my family every day. This freedom comes with sacrifices, especially early on, but the benefits are profound beyond imagination. I find myself appreciating small moments and realizing just how beautiful life can be. Living on my own terms has truly elevated my daily experience, filling my life with joy and connection.”
